Our Programs

Vineyard Ranch PTA Funded Programs:

Vineyard Ranch PTA is strictly a not-for-profit organization and relies on volunteers and financial support from Vineyard Ranch parents and our community. Greenback Giving is the biggest source of revenue used to support the wide-ranging variety of items funded by the PTA budget. During the 2020-2021 school year PTA spent almost $60 per student to operate and run the programs you know and love. We urge you to become a member of the PTA and participate in Greenback Giving to help further and fund our PTA programs below. Your dues and donations help us provide these programs for our children and support our chapter’s membership in the Texas PTA and National PTA organizations.

Here are some of the programs made possible due to your support:

Arts in Education

Art is an essential part of a child’s education. The PTA organizes and promotes the Reflections program which is a national PTA contest that provides fine arts opportunities for students in Pre-K through grade 12 in literature, music, photography and visual arts. We hope to provide other opportunities throughout the year that will help enhance our children’s appreciation for art.

Author Visits Inspire Young Readers & Budding Writers

An author shares their books and experiences as a writer with our students. Throughout the year PTA invites and pays for visiting authors of popular children’s stories as part of our educational enrichment program.

Boo Hoo Yahoo (AKA Tacos and Tissues)

On the first day of school, see that your Kindergartener makes it to his/her classroom, then head to the library to enjoy coffee and other breakfast items. You’ll meet the parents of your child’s future friends and turn your “Boohoo” into “Yahoo”!

Bike Rodeo

Physical Education is a key component to having a healthy child. The Bike Rodeo is one way the PTA can help promote the importance of being physically fit. The PTA will work with the S.A.P.D. to organize and operate the Bike Rodeo focusing on bike skills and safety.
