National PTA Reflections Fine Arts Program

What is Reflections?
Reflections is a chance for students to show everyone their creativity! Enter a piece of art, and judges will score all the entries based on interpretation of the theme (highest determinant), creativity, and technique.

*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Accessible Arts division or grade division most closely aligned to their support needs.
*Quick Start Guide*
- Brainstorm about the theme: “I Belong”.
- Choose a category.
- Read the rules for your specific category.
- Create your unique piece of art.
- Write an artist statement to be submitted along with your piece of artwork (very important!)
- Complete the form.
- Submit your entry by dropping it off at school!
- You can submit multiple entries in multiple categories (just fill out a form for each).
Top entries in each category advance to city, then state.

Completed Entry Forms should be printed or emailed to artsined@vineyardranchpta.org. Enter as many times as you like! Each entry requires a new Entry Form.
PTA Member:

Encourage your child to imagine, create, and celebrate during National Arts & Humanities Month this October.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in preschool through grade 12 create and submit original works in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.
Students may participate in the national awards program through Vineyard Ranch’s PTA.
Reflections Is…
Creativity expressed through the arts. The works are judged through a rubric by their creativity, originality and mastery of media, but most importantly on the interpretation of theme.
The PTA Reflections Program is designed to enhance a quality arts education program and provides opportunities for students to express themselves artistically and to receive positive recognition for their efforts. It challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme. Themes are selected from hundreds of ideas submitted by students in the PTA Reflections Program Theme Search Contest.
