El Dia de los Muertos 2019
El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) 2019 at the Ranch
El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) is an ancient holiday that originated in Mexico and began as a day of thanks for the fall harvest. It has become a celebration focused remembering our ancestors and people we love who are no longer with us. Relatives create an altar (called an “ofrenda”) covered with flowers and photos or mementos of deceased relatives. These altars serve the same purpose as a photo album of loved ones.
HUGE shout of thanks to Ms. Walker, Ms. Barnes, Mara Meza, Laura Rincon, Lorena Galindo, Giselle Ornelas, Marisol Statton, Irma Annillo, Sonia Reyes, Celia Guillen, Daniela Mihalache, and Yunelis Paulino for bringing awareness of this cultural tradition to our Broncos and creating this AMAZING display!
